About VYAS
We are the Vancouver Youth Art Society, a student led non-profit organization that provides and supports young artists who desire enriching creative experiences in Vancouver’s art industries. VYAS focuses on creating broad and enriching opportunities for young artists, including a variety of gallery visits, and unique volunteering opportunities.
Vancouver Youth Art Society seeks to provide an opportunity for different artists to gather and share their passion for art together. VYAS uses art related events and exhibitions to inspire and introduce our passion to everyone; we support youth in establishing their art studios to initiate children's encounter with art. VYAS holds different projects related to art, to help promote art and culture to our community.
What We Do
The Vancouver Youth Art Society focuses on creating unique
opportunities for young artists; including establishment of large projects and long term events. Among these opportunities, VYAS seeks to offer arts and culture related events in Vancouver, gallery walks and tours in a variety of Vancouver's art related hot spots, and workshops for young artists and creatives.
More broadly speaking, VYAS seeks to enrich Vancouver's arts and culture community by involving young people in it. If Vancouver's art community is to thrive, we need to create and invest in opportunities for young people within it. We seek to provide that through community and capacity building opportunities and empowerment, as well as through partnerships within the artistic community.
